Lazybrook is a neighborhood located to just to the west of the Houston Heights Area. The name is a reference to White Oak Bayou which creates the eastern boundary of the neighborhood. Lazybrook consists largely of postwar ranch style houses that were built in the 1950s. The neighborhood is defined by these houses, big trees (especially pines) and very large lot sizes. These features, along with its location, have led a resurgence in popularity. Many young professionals and families are funneling into the area at a steady rate.
